Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-08-06. We will post any material change here and update this date.

These terms govern your use of Bitcoin For Startups, operated by Bitcoin Culture Hub Inc.. Please read them. They include disclaimers, a limit on our liability, and an agreement about where disputes are resolved.

Agreement to these terms

By accessing this site, submitting a form, or subscribing to our email, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

If you are using the site for an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms on its behalf, and "you" means that organisation.

Who we are

Bitcoin Culture Hub Inc.
40 N 4th St, Brooklyn, NY 11222
United States
kyle@bitcoinforstartups.com

Bitcoin Culture Hub Inc. is a Delaware corporation. In these terms, "we", "us", and "our" mean Bitcoin Culture Hub Inc..

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use this site or submit anything through it. By using it you confirm that you are, and that you are not barred from doing so under any applicable law or sanctions programme.

What this site is, and is not

This site describes what we do, lists members, organisations, and events in the Bitcoin ecosystem, and lets you contact us or apply to join the network.

  • Nothing on this site is an offer to provide services, and nothing you submit obliges us to work with you or to accept your application. An engagement between us exists only under a separate signed agreement.
  • Submitting a form does not create a confidential relationship. Please do not send us confidential or proprietary information before we have a written agreement covering it.
  • Membership, directory listings, and event submissions are reviewed and may be edited, declined, or removed at our discretion.
  • We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the site at any time without notice.

No professional advice

The content on this site is for general information only. It is not legal, tax, accounting, regulatory, financial, or investment advice, and it is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional who knows your circumstances.

We are not a law firm, an accounting firm, a broker-dealer, an investment adviser, a bank, or a money services business, and we are not registered or licensed as any of those. Do not act, or refrain from acting, solely on the basis of anything you read here.

Bitcoin and digital asset risk

This site concerns companies building in the Bitcoin ecosystem. Some things follow from that, and we want them stated plainly.

  • Nothing here is an inducement, recommendation, or solicitation to buy, sell, or hold Bitcoin or any other digital asset, token, or security.
  • Digital assets are volatile and carry a risk of total loss. Past performance tells you nothing about future results.
  • We do not custody, transmit, exchange, or manage digital assets for anyone, and we never ask for a private key or seed phrase. Nobody legitimately representing us will ever ask you for one.
  • The regulatory treatment of digital assets differs by jurisdiction and changes. You are responsible for your own compliance and for your own tax position.
  • A member, organisation, or event appearing in our directory is not our endorsement of it, of its product, or of any investment opportunity. Do your own diligence before sending anyone money.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the site for anything unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or harmful, or to promote such activity.
  • Submit information that is false, impersonates someone else, or misrepresents your affiliation with a person or organisation.
  • Upload anything containing malware, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its servers, or any related system.
  • Scrape, crawl, harvest, or bulk-collect member data, or use any automated means to extract the directory, except that well-behaved search engine crawlers may index public pages in accordance with our robots file.
  • Use contact details found on this site to send unsolicited commercial messages, or to build a marketing list.
  • Interfere with the site's operation, circumvent our rate limiting or security measures, or place unreasonable load on our infrastructure.
  • Infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.

Community Guidelines

These apply to members, applicants, and anyone taking part in the network.

  • Be respectful. Treat other members and their work with good faith.
  • No spam, solicitation abuse, or misrepresentation.
  • No fraud, scams, or misleading claims about products or traction.
  • Use real identities and accurate information.
  • Keep it useful: contribute, do not just extract.
  • No harassment, hate speech, or targeted abuse of any person or group.

We may warn, suspend, or remove anyone who breaks these guidelines, and we may do so without notice where the conduct is serious.

Listing and Editorial Policy

Members and events are reviewed before they appear. Event submissions enter a moderation queue and are not published automatically. We may decline, edit, or remove listings that are inaccurate, misleading, or inconsistent with these terms.

Placement is editorial. We do not sell directory ranking, placement, or inclusion. Where a listing relates to a venture we founded, operate, or hold an interest in, we label that relationship rather than presenting it as an independent client engagement.

We are not obliged to publish anything, to keep publishing it, or to explain a decision to decline. If we remove your listing you may ask us why, and we will tell you where we reasonably can.

Your submissions and the licence you grant

"Submissions" means anything you send us through the site: directory profile details, event listings, images, links, descriptions, testimonials, and any file you attach.

You keep ownership

You keep all rights you already have in your submissions. We do not claim ownership of them.

The licence you give us

So that we can actually run the directory and tell people about it, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce, publish, display, and distribute your submissions, and to promote them in our own channels, including this site, our newsletter, and our social accounts. This includes the right to edit for length, clarity, and format, and to create the thumbnails and previews the site needs to display them.

This licence exists only to operate and promote the network. It lasts while your submission is published, plus a reasonable period afterwards for archival and backup copies. It does not let us sell your content to a third party, and we will not use your name or logo to imply you endorse us beyond the fact of your listing.

What you are promising us

By submitting, you confirm that:

  • You own the submission or have all rights and permissions needed to grant the licence above.
  • Publishing it will not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights, and will not breach any confidentiality obligation you owe.
  • Where your submission names or depicts another person or organisation, including an event you are listing, you have their permission.
  • The information is accurate and not misleading, and you will tell us if it stops being accurate.

Removal

You can ask us to remove a submission at any time by emailing kyle@bitcoinforstartups.com, and we will do so within a reasonable period. We may keep backup copies for a limited time, and we cannot recall material that has already been distributed or cached by a third party such as a search engine.

Our intellectual property

The site itself, including its text, design, layout, graphics, logos, wordmarks, and code, is owned by Bitcoin Culture Hub Inc. or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property law.

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and view the site for your own informational and business purposes. That is all. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, sell, or create derivative works from the site or its content without our written permission, other than incidental copying your browser performs to display a page, and quoting short extracts with attribution and a link.

"Bitcoin For Startups" and our logos are our trademarks. Other names and logos on the site belong to their respective owners and appear for identification only.

Third-party links, members, and events

This site links to other websites and lists organisations, people, and events we do not control. We provide those links and listings for information.

We do not endorse, guarantee, or take responsibility for any third-party site, its content, its security, its privacy practices, or anything you obtain from it, and we are not a party to any dealing between you and a member, organisation, or event organiser. Any such dealing is between you and them, including any payment, contract, or dispute.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and your rights. It forms part of these terms.

Disclaimer of warranties

THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ON IT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING FROM A COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE.

In plainer terms: we do not promise the site will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or free of harmful components, and we do not promise that the information on it, including anything submitted by a member, is accurate, complete, or current. You use it at your own risk.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BITCOIN CULTURE HUB INC. AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER THEORY, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (US$100) OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Any claim relating to the site must be brought within one year after it arises, or it is permanently barred, unless applicable law requires a longer period.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bitcoin Culture Hub Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claim, demand, loss, liability, or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of your use of the site, your submissions, your breach of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

We will notify you of any such claim and may take over its defence at our own expense, in which case you will cooperate with us. You may not settle a claim in a way that imposes any obligation on us without our written consent.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the site, and remove your listing or submissions, at any time and without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms or that doing so is necessary to protect the site, other users, or us.

You may stop using the site at any time and ask us to remove your listing. The sections that by their nature should survive termination will do so, including the licence you granted for material still published, our intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and disputes.

Governing law and disputes

Let us try to fix it first

If you have a problem, email kyle@bitcoinforstartups.com with "Dispute" in the subject line and describe it. We will try to resolve it with you in good faith. Neither of us will start formal proceedings for 60 days after that notice, unless a claim needs urgent injunctive relief or would otherwise become time-barred. Most disagreements end here, faster and more cheaply than anywhere else.

Governing law

These terms and any dispute arising from them or from your use of the site are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules and the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.

Where disputes are heard

You and we agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in the State of Delaware, and each of us waives any objection to venue there on grounds of inconvenient forum. Each of us waives any right to a trial by jury.

If you are a consumer resident in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, nothing here deprives you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your country of residence, or of the right to bring proceedings there.

No class actions

Claims must be brought individually. You and we agree not to bring a claim as a plaintiff or class member in a class, consolidated, or representative action, to the extent permitted by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site changes. The date at the top always reflects the current version. If a change is material, we will make it prominent, and where we hold your email address and have a reason to contact you, we will tell you. Continuing to use the site after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

General

  • Entire agreement. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the site, and replace any earlier understanding. A separate signed services agreement governs any engagement and takes precedence over these terms where they conflict.
  • Severability. If any provision is held unenforceable, it is modified to the minimum extent necessary or severed, and the rest stays in force.
  • No waiver. If we do not enforce a provision, that is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
  • Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these terms without our written consent. We may assign them to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
  • Force majeure. We are not liable for a failure or delay caused by something beyond our reasonable control.
  • Notices. We may give you notice by email or by posting on the site. You give us notice at kyle@bitcoinforstartups.com or by post to the address above.
  • No partnership. These terms do not create a partnership, joint venture, agency, or employment relationship between us.
  • Headings. Headings are for convenience and do not affect interpretation.

Accessibility

We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 AA. The site is built to be usable by keyboard, works with screen readers, and is tested for colour contrast against that standard.

Accessibility is ongoing work rather than a finished state. If you encounter a barrier, email kyle@bitcoinforstartups.com and tell us what happened and what you were using. We will work to resolve it and will give you the information you needed by another route in the meantime.
